Three Ways To Create The Perfect Event Space For Corporate Clients

Terra Fields

When businesses come to your facility to plan their corporate events, they put all their trust in you so you don't want to fail. Your ability to satisfy clients is key to return business and driving more traffic in the door. One way to keep your corporate clients happy is to plan an event they will never forget. Here are just some of the elements that can help you pull this goal off.

Plan The Space With The Brand In Mind

When planning corporate events, plan the layout of the space with the brand theme in mind. For example, if you're hosting an employee appreciation event for a technology based company, find ways to incorporate technology into the space.

For example, instead of traditional table centerpieces, consider creating a tower like structure lined with tablets that can display images. This still serves as an attention grabbing, decorative centerpiece, but its mindfulness will be much appreciated. This type of attention to detail is something that your clients will definitely recognize.

Mask Unattractive Elements

Make an effort to mask certain elements within the space in order to create a more unique experience. This is a particularly important step when it comes to the nuts and bolts of the setup, such as your audio visual equipment. When it comes to these elements, spandex liners are a great option.

Spandex liners, such as from Laguna Spandex Linens, fit over the top of the equipment and are available in a variety of different colors and styles. Instead of looking like a speaker or monitor, the spandex covers transform these items into a decorative element that blends into the space instead of standing out.

Put The Food On Display

It doesn't matter if the menu for the event includes a multi-course dinner or light snacks, make sure the food is a decorative element in and of itself. Don't simply put food on a table. Make it a point to arrange the food in an exciting and visually appealing manner.

For example, one idea is to color coordinate your food selections, such as putting all the green colored items in one section, red in another, etc. Another idea is to add spotlights over the food table to make it even more of a focal point. Think of it as a food arrangement, not just a food table.

When keeping your corporate clients happy, attention to detail is key. Make sure you're working to impress your clients.

Good Record-keeping Helps New Business Owners Avoid Tax-time Headaches

I have been a business owner for years, and I want to share some tips for success with new entrepreneurs out there who are struggling. I have had my share of business ups and downs, but there was one lesson that it took me way too long to learn: Good financial record-keeping year-long keeps tax time from being so stressful. During my first year in business, I kept most business expense receipts, but when tax time arrived, I found out that I needed to save much more than just those receipts. Thanks to technology, I was able to recover most of the documentation I needed, but it was a huge headache. I quickly invested in good record-keeping software and it made tax time much less stressful during the following years.
